Q: What should be top priority for the leader of the Seattle Police Department?
A: Looking with extreme scrutiny at staff who were found to engage in unconstitutional use of force, have been found to engage in other misconduct, have a history of accusations of misconduct, or are on the Brady list, and also at those officers' partners, at those officers' supervisors, and at investigators who studied their past actions but did not find wrongdoing in them. Fire bad cops.
More mush from Sydney. If you were a real journalist, you'd be asking questions like "How valid is this survey? Why do they ask these questions rather than others? How does the City know that respondent live where they say they live and are otherwise who they say they are?"
The pathetic reality is that this survey has no scientific validity whatsoever, is easily gamed, and is structured to bias the results. The City should be ashamed for even producing such a risible thing. (Not that it matters; even if the responses returned 100 percent support for a "law and order" Police Chief, the City's political elite is gonna do what it wants to do (signal their wokeness and faux "compassion") the results of this survey or any other public expression be damned.
Survey Monkey is a joke. Not even a monkey would believe the findings of one of its "surveys." So, Mayor Jenny and our Right Honorable Councilmembers, just go ahead and do what you're gonna do. Stop pretending you're interested in what the public wants. The little people will just have to accept whatever you decide is best for them, or leave. That's their only real privilege.

Well, i kinda know why; it was a rhetorical question. Just wanted to point it out.
