Tillerson Out: President Trump fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. He replaced Tillerson with CIA director Mike Pompeo. According to the New York Times, Tillerson learned of his ouster shortly after stepping off a plane from Africa. Trump didn't grant the former ExxonMobil executive the courtesy of a call. Experts say Tillerson will be remembered as "one of the worst secretary of states" in modern history. Take it to the chorus:

Haspel In: Gina Haspel is replacing Mike Pompeo as director of the CIA. She is the first woman to hold the position. She also once ran a CIA black site in Thailand where the agency tortured two prisoners. She later ordered the destruction of video of the torture.

ST3 Opposed: By Ron Lucas, the mayor of Steilacoom and vice chairman on the Sound Transit board. He wants the Everett line to get done ASAP, but remains skeptical that many people below Federal Way will ride light rail into Seattle. Walkout Supported: The Seattle City Council voted unanimously to support a student walkout over gun control scheduled for tomorrow at 10 a.m. High schools students all over the city are expected to leave class for 17 minutes, in honor of the 17 people who died during the Parkland, Florida school shooting a month ago.

Seahawks Harassed: Two Seahawks players recorded a woman berating them in the parking lot of their training ground in Renton. The woman tells the two players, neither of whom participated in the national anthem protests, that they “cannot stand up and be a man. On your little fucking knees and not represent the country’s flag that made you what you are.” When asked to name herself, the woman said, “Oh, fuck off. I don’t care who you are. All I care about is that my tax dollars pay for you to play, and go fucking play and get off your fucking knees.” Seahawks players are not public employees.
