For once, thanks to the passion of students who survived the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, comprehensive gun control does not seem out of reach. Yet, during the most recent legislative session, Washington lawmakers failed to pass common sense measures, like increased background checks for semi-automatic rifles. What's stopping them? What's next? Should we just repeal the Second Amendment?

Stranger editor-at-large Sean Nelson, who wrote a must-read feature on buying a gun after the Las Vegas massacre, will explore some of these questions tonight with Renée Hopkins, the CEO of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility, and Zach Elmore, a local activist whose sister was shot in Vegas.

This is happening tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John's Bar and Eatery. Don't miss it.
