Bennett is arrogant.
His fame has given him a large megaphone,
he lacks the wisdom to put it to good use.
2
Your assertion that the law should only apply to people in the care of the people who assault them is fabricated out of thin air with no justification or legal citation.

One thing this article does well is highlight how important courts and evidence is, so that these things are not wholly decided by biased sheriffs or 900 or so words of non-researched assumptions.

Well said, Spike.

@1: He did put it to good use. BLM is a good use. It made (white) people upset, so he must be discredited and punished for his temerity. Ad Hominem seems to have worked on you. If you think he's arrogant, you've never heard him interviewed on KJR. Or you're a bigot. Either way.

He ignored instructions from people doing their job, rushed the field and injured a crippled old lady; because he didn't think the rules applied to him.
Arrogant.

BLM is a Lie founded on a Bigger Lie.
7
Reminder: Michael Bennett being a huge, huge asshole (e.g. his confrontation w/ Bill Wixey), and him being unfairly targeted for his politics are not mutually exclusive.
8
Bennett repeatedly played dirty at the end of losing games(diving / rolling at the knees) and was a catalyst for the shitshow at the end of the Jacksonville game.

This case likely rests on the mental acuity of a paraplegic 67 or so year old lady.

I’ll save you a comment and tell you I played for ten years and that you’re wrong.

I’ve half wanted to Seahawks to be bad again for a long time.
9
@5: did you know that a hard stare from an Arrogant Black Man can injure a crippled old lady? it's true, @2 researched it.

Ad Hominem, ad nauseum.
10
If they felt the tape was unequivocal, they would have published it. I'll assume that the evidence is tenuous at best.

A felony is a fucking joke for what was described. That charge is for committing two cardinal sins in Texas; being black and playing for another team.
13
You can tell this isn't a legitimate article because any good editor would criticize any author for starting a sentence, let alone a paragraph, with "Which". Come on, it has opinion based vs fact based written all over it because nobody ever checked the grammar.
14
Dude, you have to be the worst writer out there. It is hard to look at your opinion of the matter and have any kind of consideration towards your perspective due to your grammar. You sound like you are a high school aged person writing for your school paper. Very convincing... Nice job. You make some decent points. The problem is your method of communicating them, as well as twisting facts for you to make your point. You are part of the problem with America's media, unintelligent people pandering to those less intelligent than you. Get a real job.

Michael Bennett was not indicted by the police chief. He was not indicted by the DA. He was indicted by the people of Houston. The people of Houston, like most Americans are horrified when they hear about arrogant millionaire celebrities violently assaulting elderly, disabled, black women. There are four eyewitness to include a younger woman who was also assaulted by Michael. Houston will decide his fate. Not biased media or misogynist fanboys.
16
@9: How do you know exactly what happened?

The DA in this case is Kim Ogg.

Ms. Ogg has been accused of being soft on crime by seeking alternatives to prison such as deferred adjudication, including in a case last year in which a man shot at deputies but received no jail time, which she attributed to his mental-health issues, according to ABC13 in Houston.

The county’s first openly lesbian D.A., Ms. Ogg fired 37 experienced prosecutors shortly after taking office and replaced them with “a far more diverse group of experienced and talented lawyers,” she told the Texas Observer.

“I also am trying to diversify our lower ranks because we need prosecutors who the public can relate to,” said Ms. Ogg in the July 26 interview. “If they’re all Caucasian, and they’re all straight out of law school, they’re just not going to have the life experience that I think is important when you have people’s lives in your hands, like we do.”

What say you to this, Mr. Friedman?

You misspelled Muhammad Ali.

I believe Michael Bennett.

Please wait...
