What the hell difference should it have made how many times she said she was sorry in the interview? She didn't OWE the state Bar an apology. She'd done nothing TO the state Bar. It sounds like they rejected her because she didn't kiss enough ass. She didn't owe it to the Bar to grovel, ffs.

When a person gets their life together, what should matter is that they've made the change, not what they were like before they changed.

And the Bar would be greatly improved by the presence of people who had known hardship, made bad choices, they turned themselves around.
