"If I have to be the first one to go through this process to open our eyes to the flaws we have and structural issues we need to work through as a community, as a party, so be it."

Oh for fuck's sake.

"If I have to be the first one to go through this process of holding people accountable for their own atrocious behavior, that is completely unfair."

He also used the KC Dems email list a couple days ago to send out a mass email full of misleading “facts” saying how innocent he was, etc., which then caused the KC Dems themselves to send out a mass email saying how untrue Bailey’s email was and how he wasn’t authorized to use the email list to send out his email.

As a person who had access to the documentation and the testimonies involved in this situation, I would say that it was sad for everyone involved, but Ms. Koss-Vallejos has some faulty ideas if she thinks this would have moved faster with an HR department. That is, after all, what places like the state, county and the City have, and the UW just settled a sex harassment case of SIX women that took 7 years to get action on.
I hope that Mr. Stober will consider alcohol treatment, because clearly the overuse of alcohol, and alcohol-fueled behavior, was at work in most of the occurrences. He also has a very high opinion of himself, which needs to come down a few notches.

For whatever it's worth, Bailey was targeted because he challenged Tina Podlodowski, the current State Dems Chair who has covered up sexual assaults and underage drinking sponsored by the party since she took over in 2016.

Not excusing what Bailey did, but if you're going to go all #MeToo on one person in an effort to weed out the bad leaders... it needs to go all the way to the top. Bailey may have been one of the people responsible for the toxic culture, but he's definitely not the only one (or even the worst).

For example, Matthew Sutherland quietly dropped-out of the race against Cathy McMorris-Rodgers because of his role in supplying booze to minors at party functions. Where was his "trial?" He's still active in the party...

The WA Dems are part mafia, part frat party. It needs to change.

Please wait...
