A homeless child, even one, is a sign that your society has failed, and is rotten to the core. There is nothing more obscene than a culture that abandons its own children.

The first, second and third lines of defense in providing for the welfare of children are their family.

But out enlightened sex-positive Feminist society does not hold men responsible at all to provide for their spawn, even when they are married.
And there is no stigma at all to men who father children out of wed-lock.
And the percentage of children born to unmarried women continues to rise.
And childhood poverty with it.

My experience, in working with a Christian Missionary group, for homeless in Las Angeles County, LA , California, was an eye-opener. Government statistics, and homeless head-counts, only accounted for about one-third of the real-numbers, of homeless people in that area.
Statistics and head-counts, do not capture the people that live on the peripheries of municipal zones, all living in cars and motels, all the people hidden, in jungles.
This is a severe economic problem.

Rents seattle have skyrocketed, as they have everywhere else in America. Many people cannot even afford housing.

Health Care in america, even with Obamacare, is a joke. Many sick people, become homeless.

There is an economic catastrophe going on, in america.

Murray said he would end homelessness for Seattle children. Didn’t get that done and Durkan certainly hasn’t picked up the ball.

Urban development without concurrent funding of schools and support for displacement is the real cause of this problem. You won't hear this from Groover, because she is a shill for the Urbanist and sits on their executive board. Shill≠journalism.
