This is the posting for which I'd been uncomfortably waiting.

The final two paragraphs of this piece are some of the best I've read by you Charles. Thank you.

What "few laws," are you suggesting exactly?

Interesting analysis. My take is that scene reminds the viewer that Americans enjoy, exploit, and appropriate black culture, but we're callously indifferent when black people are gunned down.

Like all great art, it's subject to interpretation.

3 Squirrel Dude: fuck off. You're transparently boring. Transparently tedious. Transparently stupid.

Good Evening Charles,
I like Richard Wright. He wrote "Black Boy" and "Native Son" with the latter rendered to film. But the real reason I like him was an extraordinary essay he wrote in the compilation "The God that Failed". I believe he was a communist but became disillusioned and left the party. This essay was his account of his departure.

This is America is about racism, not school shootings.

I just want to leave an idea here that was mentioned by Killer Mike on Bill Maher Friday: If Trump IS the fascist and racist that people are starting to believe he is, and he DOES start mass deportation or incarceration to concentration camps for latinos, blacks, and muslims, are any of your anti gun, milquetoast liberals going to be able to stop him?

The answer is: No. Best everyone can expect from you is a mad tweet and insta before you go to work like usual. Black people have seen this happen before at the end of reconstruction. I am not advocating the gun religion permeating the right, but I am saying the people at actual risk cant rely on the rest of you.

how can the government stop shootings when the tools of death are already spread far and wide. I enjoyed the meditation on the subject, but the conclusion is justification for more statism. once they make AR-15's illegal, bad-minded people will still get their hands on them. and once they make all guns illegal, welcome to Rio.
