Dino Rossi and a bunch of Republican mens were supposed to go on a retreat together.
God could you imagine if there really were two Dino Rossi's? The world would sag under the weight of such mediocrity.

On June 30th people opposed to the Trump administration's family separation policy at the border will gather to march on Washington. Even if he wanted to—and so far he hasn't said one way or the other—congressional candidate Dino Rossi couldn't have marched in support of the families because he was scheduled to headline the Pierce County GOP's Republican Men's Retreat at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, WA.

But now it looks like Rossi might have the day open after all.

Look at these mens.
Look at these mens. Pierce County Republicans

This morning the high school's office manager told me she "believes the event has been cancelled."

The cancellation came shortly after members of Indivisible Washington's 8th District announced plans to hold an "Inclusion Rally" outside the high school where the Republican men were scheduled to meet. The description for that event reads: "A GOP Men's Retreat in 2018? Really?! As the GOP and Dino Rossi double down on their commitment to conservative white men, we'll be outside to show our Progressive values of inclusion and family."

Chris Petzold of Indivisible says she put up the "Inclusion Rally" Facebook event page at 11:00 am Saturday. Shortly afterwards the "Republican Men's Retreat" Facebook event page was deleted. The retreat is no longer listed on on the Pierce County Republican Party calendar, either.

"We're going to poke around and make sure they didn't move it to a secret location," Petzold said. "If they really canceled it, then we'll move our efforts to supporting the rally pushing back against Trump's hateful family separation policies at the border."

Pierce County GOP hasn't responded to my call to confirm whether the event has been canceled or just moved. I'll update this post if I hear back.
