Is this the same Portland ICE office that closed a week ago? Seems a bit questionable to strictly enforce that law when the building these people are doggedly protesting is empty.

ICE didn't even exist until 2003. The United States did rather well for itself for 227 years before ICE came along. But NOW we can't live without them? Fuck that. They don't do anything for us. The don't serve us at all.

There is no elephant in the room because this "immigration problem" has been steadily declining for 20 years, and has ebbed for record low not seen since the 1970s. It's a phony crisis. It's Trump's burning of the Reichstag. He's using this to stoke fear, and focus his dumb followers so they don't notice obvious shit like he's destroying their farms and jobs with his insane mercantilist policies, tax giveaways to his rich cronies, and general incompetence. Not to mention giving away to North Korea every single thing on their wish list in exchange for fuck all.

We don't need fucking ICE. We never did, and we got along fine without those assholes. Welcoming immigrants is precisely why America became a great country and turning them away is precisely the point where our decline begins.

Trump is enforcing some laws and not enforcing others: the tax code, for example. Environmental protection. Worker safety. Why is he merging federal agencies, shrinking their budgets and staff? Because they enforce laws he doesn’t want enforced.

But white supremacist law? THAT gets enforced.
