The soundtrack is FAR FROM the best music the Coup has ever made. Then again, this is the same journomagazine that criticized Boots to his face about the Party Music album cover (https://www.thestranger.com/seattle/the-coups-bomb/Content?oid=8708) - an 18 year old controversy at this point.

All that being said, see the movie. It's not perfect, but even though basically Michel Gondry (or should we call him Dongry?) melded with Inside Man-era Spike Lee, it's significantly more original that most of the stuff we see in movie theaters, including the Oscar-Bait "important" ones.
