“As of Tuesday afternoon”? Wasn’t that the premise of the TV show “Early Edition”?

2

It could have been the Seattle Art Museum, or a blind fold pick from worthy charities.

@2:

Yeah, we get it - ANYTHING but an organization that fights to protect the health of women...

The important thing to remember is that if you're given a choice between Sydney Brownstone and Dave Meinert, choose Ms. Brownstone.

@2: Not at all. My comment points out that it inherently arbitrary to rectify for the sins of a contributor by making a donation in that amount to a non-profit. The contribution was already spent - and an additional "feel-good" accounts payable transaction does nothing to alleviate the suffering of the alleged perpetrator's victims. However, it does allow for a greater tax reduction for the Governor, so perhaps that's part of the motivation.

This fallout will likely continue with civil suits and many more acqusations. Politicaly, not a safe position. No surprise.

Bottom line is that many people have suffered and the proverbial iceberg has likely just been scratched. Very sad for our community.

I feel awful for the victims. We should all remain empathic to them and focus on the real marrow of this story. The reactive engine of commerce and politics, are merely a collateral sideshow.

Bless you once again, Governor Jay Inslee, for doing the right thing. Keep up the good work.
@2 & @6: That's right---keep munching your Dunkin' Donuts, sugarlips.

@8: BP: 118/76 - with just a cinnamon roll twice a week. Enjoy your Diet Coke and cheese puffs sis!

@9: You're way off on my daily dietary intake, sugarlips. Anyway, enjoy your cinnamon roll.

@11: Okay, sushi and kiwi fruit.
