Why are you shaming a person for trying to solicit a prostitute when The Stranger continuously tells us to be pro sex worker?

2

So it's a MeToo Moment to look upon women who wear clothing in public that exposes their ass and cleavage?
Is that out of Deuteronomy?

Gosh.
You are right.
We are a terrible person.
We will gouge our eyes out, lest we commit eyeball rape the next time we are in public....

8

Well 6, I do believe it is better to gouge out one’s own left eye than to sin.

That left eye bit may have been a modification I made when incorporating other texts into a more grand theological understanding.

Why you’d want to view that stuff with the pals, though - that I don’t know.

I do have a date scheduled with the woman I told my friends I’m going to knock up, though!

The esteem which you and all decent people hold for our eyeballs is far and away your most likable trait.
Perhaps we could hang out?Maybe a movie? You could tell us what is going on...

I have a hard time rounding this up in to a problematic culture. Rich guy hired a prostitute? Good. Cameras leering at two scantily dressed drunks? That makes the camera operator witness number 1,453 to the incident. Lincoln pressured an employee? Well, he's gone, and at least she got paid for her trouble. I don't know if there is any action to take now, in 2018. Mather's response doesn't really do it for me (he doesn't really say anything about the present day) but that's the extent of it. I think it's fine to treat each of these as isolated incidents, rather than indicative of anything happening on an organizational level.
