"Dwinell is essentially on the opposite side of Mount Rainier from Seattle, in a small town called Goldendale along Highway 97 between Yakima and Portland."

That's an odd way to describe the county seat and largest city in that part of the state. To be fair, I know you guys seldom leave Capitol Hill.

Double Bluff Brewing Co. In Langley on Whidbey Island is fantastic.

3

Chuckanut is one of the few American breweries that does a good job at German-style beers, and their Kolsch is my favorite brewed in the US, but it doesn't compare to what you get in Cologne.

4

Interesting list. The most glaring omissions are Old Schoolhouse (Winthrop) and Three Magnets (Olympia).

They're so many breweries on the peninsula. I know they're huge but Silver City in Silverdale makes a damn fine beer and they make some pretty crazy seasonal and one offs. They're barrel aged stuff is incredible.
Also FOB brewing in Dupont along with Task Force brewing make damn fine beer and they're veteran owned.
The list goes one. Having too many breweries to have a favorite, what an amazing time to be alive.

Any list of the best breweries in Washington needs to include Crucible Brewing. They have two locations (Everett and Woodenville) and brew excellent, wildly creative beer, with a friendly staff who make you feel like a regular from your first visit. They are easily my favorite brewery in all of Washington.

Everybody's Brewing in White salmon is consistent and original. My Favorite Washington Brewery, besides Bale Breaker, is in tiny Republic. When I was there last summer, there was a line at the door waiting for the 2:00 opening. Your list is good, but you teased about crossing the Cascades and then only mention two breweries east of them. You didn't even make it half- way across the state. There is lots more good beer.
