haha the FJM captions are hilarious. I pretty much was sold on changing some weekend plans after I saw the complete lineup including FJM, total entertainment forever, despite the taylor swift lyrical intro, is one of my favorite songs of the decade. great seattle weekend. funny how SLU the people at the SLU party looked, but was still rad to have BTS free in town. chicago band the symposium was dope earlier in the night at vera. tripping lightly on half a tab hearing the news of the plane and scrambled jets, running into out of context old contacts, having free fun in this weird city that sometimes feels like its doesn't care about us anymore, was pretty rad. If only upstream was also free or more heavily subsidized. thanks for the great weekend SLU and Subpop. in the spirit of it being a seattle weekend, I will proclaim Clepto to still be the graffiti king of seattle. dude is prolific.

it was mostly fun and not really a shitshow at all; it only got really crowded after the tide came in (and during beach house). the cops were really chill. there were enough honey buckets. I parked 10 minutes away up the hill.

[In the interests of transparency, I endorse, but didn't actually write these captions.]

I was pretty impressed at how few (if any?) people fell into the sea at high tide. Good job, Seattleites!

Thanks SupPop! I got there early and left during Mudhoney, when the tides and the crowds got too high for comfort.

I also saw Built to Spill and Afghan Whigs on Friday. Great weekend for free music. Sometimes I forget that Seattle can still be cool (though it's gotten really fucking crowded).

Sadly KEXP did NOT stream "the whole fucking thing" as you state. They streamed certain acts. I wanted to see Mudhoney, but they weren't on the streaming list. I did get to see the Fastbacks via stream, though. Unfortunately, the video and the audio were not in sync during the streaming so it kind of sucked.

Dear guy who was wasted out of his mind, carrying a dog on his shoulders in front of the loud ass speakers during the Metz set (!) and then putting every person (girls included) he could find in a headlock during the Hot Snakes set while trying to "get this pit going, bro!": please never attend another concert again. Your privileges have been revoked.

If you're friends with this guy, please have a chat with him.

You should rethink your endorsement of those captions, Josh...

@6 That dude was such a fucking asshat. Grabbing him and yelling in hoes stupid face to either calm down or leave the pit ranks as one of the personal highlights of my day.

Guys like that are the reason I just avoid going to any shows
