The Stranger is searching for an editorial intern to write our daily morning news round-up, Slog AM. Originally called The Morning News, Slog AM* has become one of the most read columns on Slog, The Stranger's blog. The Slog AM intern should have a strong and unique voice and be a voracious reader of Seattle news and politics. They should enjoy reading comments. A sense of humor is a must.
The candidate needs to be (or become) a morning person, as this position is 6 - 9 AM, Monday through Friday. They may work from home, although they should be based in the Seattle area and available to come into the office for staff meetings. This position pays $15 an hour and is 15 hours a week for 12 weeks. Women and people of color are highly encouraged to apply. People with experience writing about Seattle neighborhoods outside of Capitol Hill and Downtown are also highly encouraged to apply.
