Good for you! As the price keeps going up to even more obscene and outrageous heights, I'm sure you can enjoy even smaller crowds. Bumbershoot used to be an inexpensive festival showcasing Seattle musicians. Now it's an obscenely expensive jerk off fest for rich people (that you can't even leave and return now that they've eliminated re-entry). Hurray for YOU, Chase (nice name, sounds like a bank). It's so great that YOU can have a great time at Bumbershoot while most people can't afford to go (oh wait, those people don't even live in Seattle anymore, because they can't do that either). What a tone deaf and obnoxious article.

The crowds are thin because Bumbershoot fucking sucks and people are finally realizing it.

3

Forget Bumpershoot, Seattle Opera season tickets start at just $147 total. Better deal. Better music.

Fuck your ad hominems. What the fuck does his name have to do with anything, ffs?

5

Nice change in the title of your article so you don't come off as such a douchebag.

MAYBE it's the ticket price? I used to be able to take 2 kids, 2 adults, and eat/drink all day long for the cost of 1 ticket this year.

7

Where the heck is all the money going from the ticket prices versus ten years ago? Going to the artists?nah. Seattle Center fees or other overhead increased so much? It's amazing.
