I know Dan is laid up from surgery and feeling low. But these Thursday roundups have started to be an echo chamber of opinions that match or amplify his, instead of dissenting ones.

Hilarious! Dan quoted the most unrealistic advice from the TYTF thread. Yeah, dude, there are TONS of women who want a middle-aged, divorced father-of-two who left the mother of his children to parent them by herself because he was "bored." Having a chance with cute baristas is fantasy. It is NOT reality. Far better advice is to stick out the "boring" little-kids phase and honour the vows you made, then re-introduce "interesting" hobbies WITH YOUR WIFE when you both have more free time.

Great point re BONDAGE. Perhaps the guy was horny, cruised some people, had a wank in the meantime, then realised that actually he didn't WANT to have kinky sex with a stranger in his hotel room. Sounds a very probable explanation.

I hope it's a good sign post-surgery that Dan is even up to producing this one! Rehab is hard, we all hope it goes really well!

Jerking off—EmmaLiz did some good work in that thread having empathy for the cheated-on wife, instead of demonizing her, but both of the quoted letters agree with Dan that she’s indeed a demon. The only thing disagreed with is whether to lie, not the fundamental perspective.

And in Too Young To Flail, Dan sympathized with the LW’s need for strange, but most comments came down hard on the LW. Dan cherry-picked one that again demonized the boring wife.

I have a big blue sign with white letters that say "IMPEACH," which I put up in my window on January 20, 2017. While we have learned a lot more since then, we already knew enough by then to warrant a serious investigation into Trump's criminal activities.
