Nasty tangential texts is not "news" and is really awful journalism. Please be more respectful of our mayor. Thank you.

It’s Maezawa, with an A at the end.

The Moon is for closers

4

Disregard @1. I was confused.

7

Having read the article, A++++ Lorena González, would vote for again.

8

They really should put up plexiglass or something the next time they clean the gum wall. Then, they can safely never clean it again and the building will be just fine.

9

@6: It's too nice of a day to return a snippy retort, so I'll acquiesce.

10

You've seen Titanic? My deepest sympathies. That movie was awful.

11

Glad we can still rely on the state level government to cooperate among themselves and internationally to get some good done. Keeping our fisheries going is a needed step in having sustainable food sources.

Call it petty, but including 'LOL" in a headline or even just a section heading seems really unprofessional, for someone that might refer to themselves as a journalist. But the author is self-identifying as an artist, so maybe I'm just a grump.

@10 I saw that movie twice both times thinking it was a date, and both times being sadly let down. Ah, adolescence.

13

@8 I think that the building owners secretly like the gum wall because it is the main attraction and you wouldn't know those businesses down there even exist if the gum wall didn't draw people in

@sports: I experience pleasure rage over many things (politics, driving), but few are as gratifying as pleasure raging about sports. Especially sports reporting. Oh the emotional tenderness and concern with which they analyze and moralize each little decision, trade, coach, play.

14

@10 I watched Titanic on acid once. It was pretty awesome, and surprisingly emotional.

15

Titanic is one of those movies that folks continue to enjoy, despite the critics.

16

@13 I am not proposing we do away with the gum wall (though it wouldn't break my heart). I'm just saying the gum could be put on a protective plexiglass layer rather than directly on the brick.
