Weird how The Stranger keeps getting scooped on stories about a rapist who just coincidentally was a major advertiser in The Stranger. Just weird.

The one bar I want Meinert to cut ties with, he keeps. Asshole.

Lobsters don't exactly breathe air, I dunno y'all.

“...$30 million to the project. It cost about $46 million in total. That’s a bit more than the $25,000 Allen contributed to killing the head tax.”

It’s also a lot more aid to the homeless than the needless and harmful head tax would have provided.

“The one bar I want Meinert to cut ties with, he keeps.”

Belltown is literally miles from easy boycotts by virtue-signaling Capitol Hill hipsters.

More importantly, we want Meinert’s ass to be worth plenty when his rape victims sue it off of him.

"Adults and children in families make up about 35 percent of the homeless population."-endhomelessness.org
Who's giving money to the other 65%?

“Should Idaho get rid of its abortion reporting law?”

Oh fuck no don’t be stupid. They just need to make it More Comprehensive:

Name, gender and dates of occurances for all sexual partners
Sexually Transmitted Diseases caught; time, place and from whom
Date of first period
Date of first orgasm
Method(s) of orgasm
How often do you think about sex
Orgasms achieved prior to and since getting preggers
Baby’s name
Name of Funeral home

There’s so much more we* are really, really going to need to know...

*those responsible for making sure YOU are a good, worthy Decent Citizen, ma’am: Republicans! We’re America’s one true Party of Freedom!

And if you don’t fucking Like it, YOU can fucking Leave it!

M A G A, Baby!

We should thank everyone who was involved in exposing Meinert for who he was. The brave victoms, and the anonymous people he might have hurt. I also want to thank Sydney Brownstone. I only put her name last to respect the bictins. We also should aknowledge the patrons who put pressure on the businesses after the news came out.

But we should all realize that The Stranger and many musicians, bartenders and other business partners turned a blind eye. FOR YEARS. I will always see Capitol Hill bars as part of The Whisper Network until I hear them all come clean. Each one of them should put out a public apology for the people that they HELPED get sexually assaulted. If they don't, they might as well have raped those people themselves. Let us see who will come clean. Will you (The Stranger) ever admit your part? Will the other businesses follow? Will the bands come out and admit their knowledge? We will see.

That Target criminal, what an asshole. Surprised somebody in the store that was looking for a fight didn't confront him.

It is interesting that Meinert's no longer being involved is being reported by multiple sources (SLOG and CHS Blog), yet when I contacted the city of Seattle and asked no one, not one person in any department of the city, could tell me how I could find or verify such information. Even if his name has been removed from official paperwork there is no way to prove he is not still earning money through these businesses. And there is no mention of Via Tribunali, either.

Anyone can say anything about anything (as the pro-Meinert contingent on this blog loves to point out), but how is any of it actually proven when even officials of the city of Seattle can't provide such proof or even direct someone to where they could find it?

Paul Allen stepping up! Oh, but only when it becomes a competition with Bezos. This is Allen's g-d HOMETOWN (which he's helped ruin) and he's so sociopathic that he cares about homeless only when somebody else does first? I wonder if he looks at that.

PS: It's good to see Meinert get the boot.

@11: The city can tell you who holds the license for the business. The city may be able to tell you who pays taxes on the business. The state in which the business is incorporated may be able to tell you more, depending on that state and its laws.

If it’s a private business or privately-held company, then the chances an outsider can discern if a silent partner even exists may be slim. Identifying such a silent partner could be even tougher.

As you’ve implied, a careful reading of the original post at Capitol Hill Seattle Blog does not verify that Meinert sold his interests in the businesses listed:

‘The “change of corporate officer” applications are a standard process for the board when companies make changes to the corporate governors listed with the state.’

Note “corporate governors,” not “corporate owners.” By my reading, Meinert could still be a silent partner in all three of the businesses listed.
