I guess if Bert and Ernie are ‘just good friends,’ and muppets don’t have a sexual orientation, that makes miss Piggie and Kermit...what exactly?

"Trump administration is rolling back rules on methane pollution"

Fugitive methane emissions make natural gas as bad as coal for climate, and possibly worse. It has now been shown that most of the recent surge in atmospheric methane, concurrent with the shale boom and fracking, is due to oil and gas operations:

No Gouda?

5

Bert and Ernie 69 each other on the reg but Bert gets made that Ernie doesn't warn him before he cums and it's an ongoing problem in their relationship.

7

I don't think I can get through life unless I know all the sexual proclivities and perversions of all the muppets.

I mean, come on people. It's 2018. This shit is important.

8

Maybe Jared and Ivanka will atone today by convincing daddy trump to resign!!

HAHAHA, I say crazy things sometimes...

9

On a different note, haven’t wolves made a big comeback? I mean, we shouldn’t be shooting them en masse, but there’s a balance to be struck, right?

10

They flare so much methane in the Bakken field that the area looks like a major metropolis when you fly over it at night.

11

@1: Sexual orientation, identity, and expression - believe it or not - is not churning in the minds of pre-schoolers - but rages in silly adults whom forget what childhood is all about.

12

@9 When you start from incredibly low numbers of wolves, you really have no where to go but up. This press release, though clearly biased in favor of wolf recovery, gives some concerns with the current management of wolves in Washington - and the slowed rate of recovery in the last year:

Wow! What a great outcome for Seattle Teachers. I was not expecting such a big number. I mean, still not enough for the important and difficult work that they do. But pleasantly surprised by how much they were able to get in one go.

"A Short History of Anal". Can't help it.

That's breakfast CAKE, and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with breakfast CAKE.

@11 preschoolers are pretty aware of family groups and relationships, you know? Deciding whether Bert and Ernie are friends or family is definitely a live question for a four year old.

15

A rabbit once tried to eat Jimmy Carter; they simply can not be trusted.

16

@14: That's on a different plane, is it not? Young children see family groups and relationships (in all their permutations) for what they are -- but the concept of libidos and what floats their boats (sexual identity and expression) is still a few years away. That's kind of what psychologists say, but yeah, .... who ever really knows though.

17

To some extent (probably not as completely as adults would like to think), but you can see how that's not relevant to the question of whether they're "just friends" or "gay and living together" or another relationship?

18

Miss Piggy has morphed into Mrs. Netanyahu, wife of the republican senator from Jerusalem.

19

@17: Yep, those are the are the questions the "adults" are obsessing over.

@18: Is that supposed to be funny? Or is it only funny if you have a particular political disposition?

20

Meh. Let the kids decide for themselves if Bert and Ernie are married, dating, or just roommates. Preschoolers are certainly not wondering if Bert and Ernie are having sex because that's not a thought process that preschoolers go through.

21

I'm sure the Trump administration's motives don't stretch any further than "save the oil industry some money" but the rule probably needed to be scrapped anyways. The trouble is the methane leakage mentioned by @2-- natural gas supply networks are all inherently somewhat leaky and should be as short as possible. Requiring oil producers to transport small amounts of gas that occurs incidentally in oil wells is going to produce long, hastily-built supply networks that are going to leak lots of methane into the atmosphere. Wasteful as it seems, just burning the gas at the wells guarantees most of the methane gets converted into CO2 which is a much better outcome, climate change wise.

22

Rain dear, it's actually very sad. Mrs. was indicted for ongoing piggy behavior, and the Mr. is also under corruption and possibly treason investigations.
Mr.’s allegiance to the republican party, the Christian right and the like is well documented.

23

How for the love of god do you as a state wildlife agency, entrusted to be stewards, decide to shoot and kill a juvenile wolf that hasn't learned to hunt yet? That's not "management." That is appeasing deep-pocketed ranchers and hunters who don't give two shits about predators that they see as competition. GOVERNOR INSLEE, AGAIN, IS THIS OKAY WITH YOU?

"Heroic California fire fighters rescued a distressed rabbit, which had become stranded during Hurricane Florence. "
Holy shit, I did not know Hurricane Florence reached California... wow. Fucking crazy.

"rolling back rules on methane pollution."
Methane is as bad if not worse than CO2. Water is pretty fucking bad too... huge molecule, lot's of heating potential. More heat, more water vapor, even more heat... We be fucked y'all. Not to lose hope or anything, but we're kinda fucked. Good thing I'll be dead before the worst happens, and I'm not having any children to torture with the mess we're leaving behind. G'bye!

"Bert & Ernie are/not gay"
I don't care about Bert and Ernie.
I want to know WHAT Animal was, as well as his sexuality.

25

@24 : "Heroic California fire fighters rescued a distressed rabbit, which had become stranded during Hurricane Florence."

Well, that had me hopping mad/puzzled til I realized/read somewhere -- they're Transplants.

Heroic, irregardlessly. Specially with Cali having the Biggest Wildfire EVER -- which, as of today, according to NPR is 100% contained.
