Two teens arrested in connection to Burien drive-by shooting: Last night, a 51-year-old woman was shot and killed while working in a chiropractic office. The bullet wasn’t meant for her. A teenager and his father were walking past and are believed to be the intended targets. Two 17-year-olds who are suspected gang members have been arrested.

Lots o’ guns and bad things stolen in Beacon Hill robbery: Who has a dozen pistols? Well, this guy used to but not anymore. In addition to the pistols, the man is also missing 2,000 rounds of ammunition, a pair of silencers, two suppressors, red dot sights, and weapons parts, according to the Seattle Times. 'Cause, uh, they were stolen.

There were 8 shootings in a day in Western Washington: That day was yesterday. They all happened within 12 hours. If you count part of Tuesday, there were 10 shootings in Western Washington. “Yeah, of course, it’s scary,” Sgt. Ryan Abbot with the King County Sheriff’s Office told KIRO7. I like that tidbit cause I just picture this KIRO7 reporter saying in a small, timid voice, “is this scary?” I didn’t watch the segment so don’t fact check me on the small, timid voice thing.

So many Alexas, so little time: Today Amazon unveiled 13 (T H I R T E E N) new devices that feature Alexa. Besides the new gadgets—which I refuse to name because who has the time?—Alexa is becoming more approachable, more conversational, and more likely to wage an AI takeover of the human race.

It took Britain three years to solve its cat killer case: This guy terrorized London for three years and mutilated around 400 cats. According to the Washington Post, investigators on the case said the culprit likely chose felines because of their association with the feminine. But, as of Monday, after three whole years of task forces and intense investigation, the police said the attacks weren’t carried out by some guy at all. It was animals. Predation. Scavenging. No human involvement. A group of pet detectives following the case said they were surprised the police decided to close the case.

It’s uncertain whether that Kavanaugh hearing will happen next week: Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who came forward with a sexual assault allegation about Kavanaugh from their high school days, hasn’t written off testifying against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in front of the Senate next week. She says that senators will need to offer her “terms that are fair and which ensure her safety,” according to the New York Times.

Women for Kavanaugh are making a strong showing! Or, as strong as women for Kavanaugh can.

This is apparently ‘tight’: According to my boyfriend who watches sports.

Some pilots on an Indian Jet Airways flight forgot to turn on the cabin pressure: Passengers are receiving treatment. A lot of them were bleeding from their ears and their noses. Those are not places you typically want to bleed from.
