I fear I must agree with the (already removed?) throwaway account above. New shows typically need a few episodes to find their footing, but this doesn't seem great so far.

Reading this, I keep thinking of Sorkin's The Newsroom and how superior that was, and I suppose it's not fair of me to compare the two.

Ugh...Murphy Brown was an amazing show back in the day but watching last nights episode reminded me how even during it's original run it stayed on the air a couple of seasons too many.

Why do I get the impression this is just more fodder for CBS's increasingly geriatric viewership? Rehash something they fondly remember from 30 years ago, and they'll stay in their plastic-protected Barcaloungers, rheumy eyes glued to their 26" diagonal color consoles, gumming their Swanson's TV dinners until they quietly succumb to inevitable decrepitude, because they're just about the only people who still watch networks these days.
