It's over. Maine Sen. Susan Collins announced today that she will vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court. Unless a few Republicans get food poisoning in the next 12 hours, accused rapist and Federalist Society favorite Brett Kavanaugh will take his place on the Supreme Court and the left will lose the court for another generation.

In her announcement, Sen. Collins mentioned the lack of corroborating evidence and said, essentially, that there isn't enough proof to support Christine Blasey Ford and the other claims against Brett Kavanaugh.

The Senate will vote to confirm Kavanaugh tomorow. Conservatives will be motivated to show up to the polls in November. This saga may have permanently damanged Brett Kavanaugh's reputation, but it will help Donald Trump and the GOP.

"We have forgotten the common values that bind us as Americans," Collins said in her speech. That's one thing she definitely got right.
