RIP, Sir,,,,thank you for all you have contributed to Seattle, and thank you for being so kind and courteous to me and my Father on the day we passed you in the hallway at the Clink....

3

Thanks for the Seahawks success, Paul, but does the GOP House still get your $100K?

4

He did a lot for this city, haters aside

"The Experience Music Project and Totally Awesome Science Fiction Stuff and Museum—what Allen thinks of as his legacy—will be a Taco Time fifteen minutes after he dies."
-- Dan Savage, 2012

Probably should roll by MoPop and get a fish taco then.

@3 - Get over it.

Can’t help but recall the Kansas song:
“Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy”

If nothing else, I thank him for saving the Cinerama. RIP.

The grave is the great leveler, and cancer is way too common a carrier.

RIP, Paul. I wish we could have seen your commons come to fruition.

11

@9 Hallelujah

never mourn a billionaire

@8: You’re right. News of Allen’s donation to keep the entire Federal government under Republican control came out a whole month ago. I really shouldn’t let news like that linger so long. I should move onto the next story about Kanye or Melania or T-Swift, and forget what happened two days ago. Like the rest of America. Brett Kavanaugh? Who’s that? I’m over it.

17

While his donations to the Republican Party were truly evil, I am very grateful to him for keeping Scarecrow Video alive (at least, that's what I've heard).

18

R.I.P. Mr Allen...you are missed all ready

19

@16 - He sure did run with a different crowd, the crowd of people who are too rich for their own good. The crowd of people who own their own passenger airplane, and submarine, and yacht, and piles of property everywhere. The crowd for whom taxes and national borders and laws are optional.

20

@14

Aren't you replying to an asshole who still keeps bringing up Bill Clinton?

22

@15- you are a sad little man.

23

@21- I'm gonna guess that's a no.

24

Jackkay dear, the man has passed. Can't you at least keep your rim jobbing of the wealthy in check during our memorial?

26

@19: Are you referring to the fine folks Martha's Vineyard, Chappaquah, or Hyannis Port?

27

15

The nazis! They are everywhere!!!!1111eleven

28

RIP Paul Allen.
He was a good man.

29

He WAS a good man until he decided to throw his lot in with the white supremacist cabal running our national government.

30

@27:

That almost sounds like something the late, great Yogi Berra would have said: "Nobody pays attention to Nazi's, there's too many of them!"

Accept most of them seem to live in Smokey Sausages head or under his bed.
