I think its rather far-fetched to suggest Trump would make a joke like that. It requires a degree of ironic detachment that he's never evinced before. And so to suppose a Trump making that joke is to suppose a Trump unlike the one that exists. So its a silly counterfactual.

Some people have trouble with patterns. They treat every situation and event as separate from the larger whole. Discerning patterns is a big part of good character judgment, and so that lack of pattern recognition is what leads to President Trump.

Hillary haters, across the spectrum, are mentally ill or remarkably stupid. Oftentimes both.

And I say that as someone who is not particularly fond of her. I think she's incredibly intelligent and ultimately good-intentioned, but she is a bit too calculating for my taste. Like many Republican politicians, if she would let some of her personality through, or give some idea of where her true opinions were, she'd be much more likable. As it stands, she always reminded me of a HR Director.
