Campaigning 101: no free airtime for your opponent. Nothing new here.

Fair.

Good news about playing the gender, sexual assault, and race card is it will hasten the death any weight either holds on elections.

Really wish Democrats had something substantive to say because me voting this election cycle for you isn't going to come down to either of those 3 buzzwords.

Mona Das sounds desperate

"its racism because he didn't include my pic in his mailer!"

LOLZ.

“Faber tweeted out the accusation during the Kavanaugh hearings, and has since written a list of 57 questions she'd like Fain to respond to.”

She remains free to file a police report in Washington, D.C., where the statute of limitations has a few years remaining. Then, if Fain ever sets foot there again, the local police will have a series of questions for him to answer.

Democrats should be furious about Faber’s not-accusation. This election should be about what Fain actually did or did not do as a legislator, which all by itself would make the case for Das replacing him. Instead, this proven-ineffective (or worse) metoo nonsense distracts from real issues. Let’s hope Das wins despite it.

Some interesting writing choices:

In a world where "erasure" is used figuratively all the time (ie, "if you don't acknowledge these elements of my personality, you're indicating that I shouldn't exist" which is fairly hyperbolic), that when someone literally erases someone... Mr. Smith refers to it as figurative erasure. Really fucking weird. Don't y'all have editors?

A Kentucky woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of rape has been referred to the Department of Justice after she admitted that she lied.

The woman, Judy Munro-Leighton, took credit for contacting the office of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as "Jane Doe" from Oceanside, California. Jane Doe claimed - without naming a time or place - that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her "several times each" in the backseat of a car. Harris referred the letter to the committee for investigation.

"They forced me to go into the backseat and took 2 turns raping me several times each. They dropped me off 3 two blocks from my home," wrote Munro-Leighton, claiming that the pair told her "No one will believe if you tell. Be a good girl."

Kavanaugh was questioned on September 26 about the allegation, to which he unequivocally stated: "[T]he whole thing is ridiculous. Nothing ever -- anything like that, nothing... [T]he whole thing is just a crock, farce, wrong, didn't happen, not anything close."

The next week, Munro-Leighton sent an email to the Judiciary committee claiming to be Jane Doe from Oceanside, California - reiterating her claims of a "vicious assault" which she said she knew "will get no media attention."

Upon investigation, the Judiciary Committee investigators found that Munro-Leighton was a left wing activist who is decades older than Judge Kavanaugh, who lives in Kentucky. When Committee investigators contacted her, she backpedaled on her claim of being the original Jane Doe - and said she emailed the committee "as a way to grab attention."

"I am not Jane Doe . . . but I did read Jane Doe’s letter. I read the transcript of the call to your Committee. . . . I saw it online. It was news.” claimed Munro-Leighton.

Grassley has also asked the DOJ to investigate Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick, who claimed through her attorney, Michael Avenatti, that Kavanaguh orchestrated a date-rape gang-bang scheme in the early 1980s.

@5 you seem to have a problem with reading comprehension.

An investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh by multiple women found that no witnesses could provide evidence to substantiate their claims.

Senate Democrats last month requested that the FBI investigate accuser Julie Swetnick and her attorney, Michael Avenatti.

Investigators found no evidence to support her claims. Swetnick also made several contradictory statements about her claims during television interviews and refused to speak with committee investigators.

“Indeed, the evidence appears to support the position that Julie Swetnick and Mr. Avenatti criminally conspired to make materially false statements to the Committee and obstruct the Committee’s investigation.”

I'm sorry...but I just watched some videos with Joe Fain. Ahhhhhh are we even sure the guy in straight? I know he has a wife and kids but seriously...he puts off a HUGE gay-nerd vibe.

@11 & @13 KKKim: When was the last time you had your shots and a complete physical? Do you ever wonder why your eyes twitch, too?
@12 re @5: Ogie's got a mush brain from too many double bench brawls.

@15: You’d have better luck selling us on your great ability to determine the validity of testimony If you hadn’t simply swallowed the emissions of male convicts. Better luck next time.

Robert Bork was denied a seat on our Supreme Court after the Senate of his day reviewed his rulings and statements concerning our Constitution. The Senate did not agree with his views, and so rejected his nomination. By pursuing metoo vigilantism instead of examining his record, liberals allowed Kavanaugh a free pass.

"As candidates, we approve all our mailers. His choice to leave my picture blank speaks volumes about his thoughts on women and people of color."- does it though? Maybe he just doesn't like HER and that's where it stops.
