Good article, Charles....we are adrift in a leaking boat, and heading toward a rocky shoal,,,,

Republicans have sucessfully shoved the goalposts so far to the "right" that corporate Dems are to the right of Nixon and Raygun, and seem to think Socialists like Bernie are Far Lefties -- which is a Joke, when one considers Actual Socialist countries -- where Bernie'd be a Centrist, at best.

Nevertheless, Republicans just wanna defund ALL Social Programs, make non-stop War inevitable, privatize America and make prison as attractive an option as College. You'll hafta pay for your room and board, but at least in prison you might make a little money. (I hear they pay almost fifty! cents a day!)(When they take out the room and board, it's actually a lot less)(like, you owe them) ($10K per year)

Yet you have no problem with Karl Marx calling Ferdinand Lassalle the n-word in a letter to Engels.

Funny that.

Another way to say it: There is no such thing as a "radical" Democrat. Antifa does not vote Democrat (or perhaps even vote at all - they are Anarchists after all). "Medicare for all" would still make our healthcare system more free-market than Tory-led England.

Meanwhile Neo-Nazis vote Republican. People saying non-white Americans should "find their own country" vote Republican. People who believe George Soros is funding a caravan of poor refugees, and stocking it with MS-13 and Middle-Easterners vote Republican (or even serve in elected office as a Republican).

Vox recently put out a video about this as well. News media's attempt to remain neutral on the issue and present it as "both parties" has actually exacerbated the issue.

@4 I consider myself an anarchist syndicalist aka council communist. Anarchist may not believe that electoral politics will lead to liberation or the destruction of capitalism but that doesn't mean all anarchists yield the field of electoral politics by any means. I vote when I find a cause to vote for and it's got it's ups and downs!

@6, That's nice

Ended with a bang, Charles! Good article.

Good article, thanks.

Good to see voters in Florida and Georgia had enough cotton picking sense to not monkey with their econoies by choosing Democrat governors.
