That is less of a "contradiction" from Mueller's team and more of a statement that they do not leak to the press.

2

White trash fucking up the national parks was all part of the plan with this shutdown. There will be less outcry from liberals if they’re no longer pristine when it comes time to lease them for fracking.

3

@2: How depressing.

And another explosive Trump "bombshell" goes pfffft.

This just in: BuzzFeed unveils its new name, đ˜œđ™Ș𝙡𝙡𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙.

It’s not at all ridiculous that the landlord of a newly acquired building is trying to evict a tenant who is $2 in arrears. It’s actually very shrewd. Once he boots her out onto the street he can do some cheap cosmetic upgrades and jack the rent on her unit from $1350 to at least $2000 a month in accordance with Seattle’s gentrification and displacement playbook. .

https://youtu.be/iayLBI7nsE0 Two dollars!

7

A broke 23-year old with three children in Section 8 housing. Now that's depressing. Also, #2, you are cynical ... and correct. And that is also depressing. Time to go watch the new Fyre "documentary" on Netflix.

8

Also, I highly recommend the book "Evicted" by Matthew Desmond for a real eye-opening look at the rental/eviction industry in the USA.

9

Curious where this landlord lives and what time the protest at their home is scheduled for.

10

23, 3 kiddies, zero daddies and all she has to do is pay $2 of the $1350 rent a month and she fails to do that.

Should she be evicted? No.

Should she get a good lecture? Yes.

12

That would be a broke twenty-three-year-old with kids who fled from an abusive relationship.

14

@12 If that's the story.

She can't even find $2?

She certainly found time to make babies.

Again, she shouldn't be evicted but someone needs to lecture her about basic personal responsibility.

16

@10: I don't have a Seattle Times subscription so I don't know how the $2.00 is arrived at, but it seems very implausible that she would intentionally not pay $2.00 just to annoy her landlord. Get real.

17

No matter who is to blame or not to blame in this mother's eviction situation, the kids will suffer. That is the real crime.

18

@16 Oh no, she admits it. Claims she sent a "money order" that must have gotten "lost". Also admits not paying the utilities as required.

Again, she shouldn't be evicted. But someone needs to sit her down and give her a good lecture about personal responsibility, especially before kid #4 comes makes his/her debut.

19

@14: Of course she can find $2.00, but she missed the deadline. That's obvious.

"time to make babies" -- really? How does that ugly snipe elevate your argument?

The only one that needs a lecture is you.

20

I agrree with some of that. But where are the father(s)? They should be contributing something. More than $2 plus utilities. Right or wrong 2 people made those choices. It seems like only one is paying for it. At least as far as we know without all the facts.

21

@18: Your stereotyping is unnecessary. (I used to do it too, I admit.)

22

@19 The soft bigotry of low expectations?

23

@22: Yep, and what @12 suggested.

Young people will be messing up their lives forevermore in bad relationships, across all socioeconomic levels. And still, one of their kids might win the Nobel prize.

25

“Young people will be messing up their lives forevermore in bad relationships, across all socioeconomic levels.”

Actual data shows that single parenthood is the number one factor in poverty. Beats race and class background.

Life is simple. Finish high school, get a job, learn skills, and the most important part: get married, then have kids. Condoms cost a quarter at the gas station.

If none of this makes sense, start visiting your local church/temple/mosque/shrine/Stone Henge and learn something humans figured out a long time ago.

But again. She shouldn’t be evicted. Clearly she’s not capable of caring for herself and her kids and will be a ward of the state for many years so I hope someone intervenes on her behalf.

26

"Actual data shows that single parenthood is the number one factor in poverty. Beats race and class background."

That doesn't negate what I said. I believe that young women, and men, often find themselves going from one end of the economic spectrum to the other as single parents.

You can't craft your projections to create a narrative when you don't know the underlying facts and expect it to reflect the way things actually are.

27

"The company would not comment on whether there were any other issues that prompted the eviction proceedings"

Alternatively, they're paying court fees to collect $4. Use your brains, folks.

28

"pays for a good chunk of her rent"- all but $2 of it.

29

@26 unless you’re Murphy Brown.

30

Which one of you is going to help her and her three children? You have her name, the name of the apartment building, the management company, almost everything you need to know. And before you ask, I don't particularly give a shit so it won't be me.

31

@30 Well I reckon part of the $70k in taxes my household paid in 2018 will be helping.

32

Here’s 10 Reasons Why Buzzfeed Will Never Be a Credible News Source (Number 8 Will Shock You!).

Tina Podlodododowski came out today and said Schultz shouldn’t run as an independent, but she’s wrong.

He shouldn’t run at all.

Anyone who’s so sensitive that he gave up on his dream of owning the Sonics because The Glove hurt his fees fees has no business running the country.

We already have a fragile entitled egomaniac in the White House, and look how that’s working out. The pubs would destroy Schultz.

He wrote a book ffs. “Hope for America” or some bullshit. How earnest is that? Maybe he should run for 9th grade class president instead?

Don’t. Don’t. Don’t.

35

@31- indirectly, yes. But here is the perfect chance for all the keyboard mashers here to put their money were their mouth is and help pay this person's bills. Again, all the info is there to help her. If they don't do it "for the children" then they are hypocrites.

Curious when some deep pocketed Leftist Role Model Moral Authority is going to offer this poor lady their spare bedroom to get her back on her feet.
