Then, in the meantime, AMI attempted to blackmail Bezos; they attempted to blackmail Joe Scarbourogh; and they've tried the same intimidation tactics to a bunch of high profile Trump critics. So they violated the SDNY deal. And they absolutely HAVE to be destroyed for it. Utterly.

This is serious shit. And to play it off by making about dick pics undermines the seriousness of this. Just like the left did over the Steel Dossier, lead by the nose by the alt-right provocateurs, making it about the Pee Tape — when about 80% of the other claims in the Dossier turned out to be true and everybody just ignored it.

When the far right demonizes "the media" what they mean is that the enemy is the very CONCEPT of a free and independent press. The only acceptable press are the lackeys they can wield and weaponize. After all Trumps own former chief of staff (Bannon) owned his own media outlet. They LOVE the "media" as long as it does their lying for them.

I don't care for Jeff Bezos, and I refuse to buy anything from Amazon, but the best way to oppose Bezos is through thoughtful argument and committed support of principled small business, not extortion, blackmail, and shake-downs. And, remember: Bezos, through the Nash Company, bought and revived the Washington Post, a chief Trump critic. Indeed, one reason Trump hates Bezos is his proprietorship of the Post. So, attempting to extort from Bezos is not amusingly okay (i.e., the rich guy finally gets his); it suggests hostility to WaPo for its continued exposure of Trump's corruption and incompetence. And AMI is still essentially a Trump ally; recall its long, sleazy history, and how CEO David Pecker helped Trump kill various potentially embarrassing stories. And go buy the paperback you want at a local indie brick-and-mortar.

Clearly, Bozos leaked the texts so he can be more than just the world's richest man. Because that is evidently not as ego enriching as it should be.

Bezos showed very poor judgment sending those pictures to begin with, let alone with his face showing, knowing there are plenty people/organizations out there busy breaing into his accounts..
That said, I’m once again with professor @ 18 in acknowledging his latest move as a smart one, as well as the background for all this.

It is possible that professionals were hired by AMI to break into his phone, it is also possible that he was targeted because he owns the Washington Post and did not intervene to soften the tone on prez as very publicly demanded.
Close ties between AMI and prez are already well proven. While we may not know what would be the price for stopping the pictures from publication, it is possible that once you cave to extortion demands may change and come back again later on.

By going public, Bezos acknowledges such picture exist, but now puts the responsibility on the paper. If they ever publish they are acknowledging they had it all along and Bezos may have a point.
