The main reason why everyone laughs at film critics is because you critique a film whose target audience averages around 4 years of age for it's intellectual shortcomings.

Nobody who was intended to see this film is going to care if it's well acted or if the dialogue is particularly clever, because they're all in preschool. To them, its enough if there are bright colors, cute characters and an easy to sing along with soundtrack. They just haven't been introduced to Stanley Kubrick or Pier Paolo Passolini yet at the Montessori Pre-K, even if it does tout a progressive approach to education. Fellini isn't even covered until at least grade 6, either.

@1 Bullshit. Adults watch movies of every genre, and they want to know when they are good. They watch movies based on comic book characters, or animated movies like these (Pixar movies routinely have a big adult audience). It is helpful to have a review like this, so that adults know whether it is worth bothering, or whether it is crap, like most of the movies out there.
