I did home cultivation years ago, in the crawl space of a suburban ranch house — and I was kind of relieved when the entire crop succumbed to aphids. The aroma was overpowering. I can't imagine being the neighbor of a homegrower in the kind of housing stock that's prevalent in urban areas of New York.

Most multifamily buildings will prohibit it in their leases or condo/co-op bylaws. And no doubt it will be illegal to do in public housing, so the people able to do it legally and above board will be disproportionately white.

If the Feds have interests in the property, there will be no pot grown without severe penalty. Too bad apartments couldn't have tenant greenhouses. Too bad WA won't allow us to grow, without a medical license. For around a hundred bucks, it's probably worth it, if you find a strain or two you Enjoy. I hear it can be hard on a home.

By NYMCIA's logic, anyone growing carrots and lettuce in their backyard gardens are going to cause corporate farms to go out of business. Yes, their claim is that ridiculous.
