@2 There is a difference. I have the same issue with "so and so passed away" or "we lost so and so today." Our society has a real problem facing and dealing with death and an even bigger problem acknowledge the suicide epidemic. Recognizing the problem and ending the stigma are the first steps in actually stemming the tide of suicides and convincing people that killing themselves is not a solution to any problem.
