Yes, I miss Callan Berry as well!

I miss Callan Berry, too, but don't let that stop you
from checking out the animated police reports Nathalie links to:
they are pure gold.

Gosh, I wonder if I'll be invited to Tim's Trial.
I know -- I could be Jury.

We should probably vote now --
is hanging a chair thief too harsh a Penalty
(are Chairs less valuable than horses?)
or should we just deport him to Idaho?
where rolling office chair thievery IS a hangin' offense
I'm pretty sure.

Say -- why not have Callanberry go to the trial?!
A little Gonzo Journalism is just about what The good Doctor would have ordered.

We're gonna need a Big convertible.
Oh, and a satchel full of Medicines.

Good first step, Utah. But justice won't fully be served until all the convicted fornicators rotting away in Utah jails are pardoned and freed.

6

The next time a conservative jurist peddles the line that judges merely call "balls and strikes", point them to Judge Ellis. What a morally infected monomaniac.

7

Turns out I committed MANY crimes in Utah, then.

9

Correct. A "legal scholar" who feels that a baseball idiom is a proper analogy for human legal proceedings must have skipped every philosophy and ethics course ever offered him.

To all who think Manafort got off lightly. As judge Ellis said "spend a day in federal prison and then get back to me." Manafort was also ordered to repay $25 Million. Is this sentence enough to dissuade others from committing similar crimes? I don't know, but presumably that is the intent of punishment.

The far far FAR "right" wing has installed/stuffed down America throats hundreds of far far FAR "right" wing "judges" on our Nation's courts, thanks (almost) exclusively to McMitch KkKonnell -- you remember, they guy who stole President Obama's Supreme Court seat? That fucker?

Get ready for the fascistic results / Nightmares of KkKonnell's / the far far FAR "right's" courts-stacking.
A Republican Utopia,* why, it's just 'round the Corner!

*where Jesus's name is always invoked, yet, somehow, Never heard from.

I know some who have spent time in federal prison --- for protesting at Ft Benning Georgia. What they described was a cakewalk when compared to spending a day in an overcrowded county jail or state penitentiary. I just wonder how much time Judge Ellis spent in a federal prison. None.
