Last time I saw an 'edging' film - it wasn't from the flat earth society!

2

Boeing has a massive backlog and also works with the military and NASA so they'll probably be OK. Sucks that people are taking a hit to their portfolios because of poor management and a corrupt federal government though.

3

"About 30 percent of Seattle voters said they support politicians based on their environmental positions"

It shows how much more work we have to do because having a sound environmental position is among the top issues according to the science. I think it points to the terrible job corporate media is doing covering climate and ecosystems degradation. Politicians who don't have a position by now are likely corrupt or really dumb.

4

@3 I'll personally hold Democrats as a party accountable if they don't go systematically and relentlessly after elected GOP deniers, especially in agricultural areas of the Midwest, California, etc . We should be killing these assholes in the polls on this issue but we aren't. Time to start looking for who isn't doing his job before it's too late.

As much as I dislike Logan Paul, I'm pretty sure he is just making fun of flat earthers. I saw a 10 sec clip where they "prove" the Earth cannot be round because they put a toy car on a globe and it rolls off.

6

We need not concern ourselves with those whom deny the earth is round, when we're challenged by exponentially far more who deny the earth is warming.

The whole civil forfeiture thing is such a corrupt scam. I don’t object to cops seizing a pile of cash as evidence, but if you’re not even going to bother with charging someone with a crime, but just keep the cash, it’s theft pure and simple.

Prove that it’s part of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt or give it back. I hope Mr. Williams gets his $120,000 back with interest and penalties paid by the individual agents responsible.

9

til softshell turtles can be spiny.

@8 in a way it's incredible the Supreme Court hasn't thrown the whole thing out. In another way it's not.

10

I agree it's utter f-ing BS that the dude had has cash confiscated, though I can't fathom why he wouldn't have just claimed he was ultimately planning to head to Vegas by way of Phoenix, which would actually seem pretty... normal (ha ha, "normal" sure is a relative word, isn't it. It'd be plausible and believable, at least.)

The complete dolts and other extraordinarily marginal talents who currently comprise the bulk of “influencers” on YouTube are the best possible argument for higher barriers to entry for content creators.

12

So why, exactly, do Democrats object to getting to vote for the Green New Deal?
The GOP will feel no shame in calling you on your bullshit.
Put up or Shut Up....

No one denies the climate is changing.
Everyone knows the Lefts bullshit 'solutions' will not reverse the change..
Climate Change can not and will not be reversed.
The smart move is to adapt to climate change.
Adapting is what the smart species do in order to survive.
Thinking you can mold climate is a Dodo maneuver.

(we tried to tell you kids this Boeing thing was going to get ugly.
If you own stock in Seattle now would be a good time to dump it...)

@12,

Couldn't agree more! Why take preventive action in the face of a well documented and dangerous threat when simply doing nothing and reacting accordingly is a perfectly viable option? I mean, this is the exact same strategy employed by George W Bush when presented with detailed evidence that Osama Bin Laden would be attacking the United States on our mainland, and just look how well that turned out!

You stupid fuck.

14

@12

"Everyone knows the Lefts bullshit 'solutions' will not reverse the change..
Climate Change can not and will not be reversed. "

The army of strawmen marches on!

The legislation thus far proposed (and rejected by the scientifically illiterate rightwing) has been to prepare for and mitigate the worst effects of climate changes effects. Nobody — I mean nobody — has claimed we will magically make ocean levels retreat and global temperature "reverse" or what ever laughably stupid fallacy you keep attempting to squeal into the void.

Just over a decade ago you dumbfucks were screaming there was no such thing as climate change. You were. (You want me to find the and list the op-eds by the right?) So that right there is huge lie.

So far the tactics on the mouth breathers has been:

Step 1 Twenty years ago: There aint no such thing!

Step 2 Ten years ago: Okay. There is. But. It aint that bad!

Step 3 Five years ago: Alright. Its looking bad. But it's natural!

Step 4 Today: AIN't nothing to be done.

Basically: Yesterday is gone. Today is too soon. Tomorrow is too late.

We COULD'VE passed carbon taxes and trading laws twenty years ago and used that money as a savings account to deal with: the damaged shoreline infrastructure; abandoned coastal properties; wages lost when it is too hot to work outdoors, damage to food production; refugee and population migration; water table corruption; and and premature deaths caused by increased air pollution and disease exposure.

there is absolute scientific and economic consensus that early interventions could've reduced the worst effects of this crisis.

But. Of course the world has drooling cretins like you.

15

@11: Aren't the bigger dolts the ones taking parody (or whatever content) seriously? As long as content is OK by Google and our laws, it's simply expression.

16

13
Remind us, was that before or after Bill Clinton blew his chance to kill Osama bin Laden?

14
Could've Would've Should've....
sob!
It seems ABSOLUTE Scientific and Economic Consensus just doesn't buy as much as it used to.

17

So 30% of Seattle considers the environment in their political decisions, and yet the whole state couldn't summon a majority to enact carbon restrictions?

Gosh, math is soooo hard ... I don't know why anybody even tries.

Please wait...
