Let's start talking about the "oranges of the Mueller report."
This new detail about the report was leaked on camera by POTUS.

2

Wingnuts, please defend your prophet's declarations about these "oranges" in the witch hunt!

3

"Fox Corporation, the newly streamlined version of Fox after it sold basically everything except news assets to Disney... "

Sorry, I'm having trouble interpreting "FOX ... basically everything except news assets to Disney... " Might there be word or two missing? (Or, perhaps, a lack of Meds, on my part?)

"... [FOX] is one of the most influential “news” services in the english-speaking world. It asserts a special dominance is countries like England and Australia."

Oops -- you missed a pretty Big One there, Kenney -- U.S.

4

Oops -- it's catching:
"FOX ... SOLD basically everything except news assets to Disney... "

What didn't FOX sell off?

5

"... [A young racist's] sign that reads,
"If I was black I'd be picking cotton, but instead I pick you."

When is Issaquah gonna finally catch up?

They've relocated all former slaves to massively
Profitable prison industrial complexes
where they work for 7 cents an hour
or is it /week...

But, Good on you Students!
Just say Fuck NO! to FOX and Fiends'
White-Washing of Amerikkka.

6

@4: Fox and Friends

7

@3 -- nevermind. Just checked out the NYT article* you linked to. They sold most of it (excluding their multiple Propaganda Arms) to Disney -- just like you wrote! Apologies.

@6 -- that was no typo.

*A scathing motherfucker.

"THE MURDOCH FAMILY SITS AT THE CENTER OF GLOBAL UPHEAVAL.

Fox News has long exerted a gravitational pull on the Republican Party in the United States, where it most recently amplified the nativist revolt that has fueled the rise of the far right and the election of President Trump."

Highly-rcommended reading.

RE: Racist prom invite

Not sure why the students protesting this chose a walkout. Why not just publicly call out their disagreement with the racists? What good is leaving class going to do?

Also, can the school even take disciplinary action against the racists? They didn't post their message on official school grounds or media, did they? What can they punish them for?

10

Hungary celebrated "Silly Walk Day" and I think it is a great idea, but the music chosen by ABC News is, lets say, lacking. Turn the sound off on the video and play "Walk This Way by Aerosmith or "Walk Like a man" by the Four Seasons or "Walk the Line" by Johnny Cash. Then again, I am sure there are dozens of other fine choices out there. Let me know what your choice is!

@9: Leaving class does no good at all and I guess the kids are objecting to not having a 'safe space'?

12

UGH, Promposals are a pox upon humanity!

13

@7: That NYT "recommend reading" is just sour grapes pouting by those whom could never be magnanimous enough to celebrate a marketplace of ideas.

14

Nevertheless, the FNC (as tarnished by Trump as it may be) serves as a galvanizing focal point for dems to refine their messaging for a wider audience. Without the FNC, the democrats would just further alienate the middle, whose every vote they desperately need.

15

13

"Sour grapes pouting" from the Leftists Whiners Club?
You read the article and That's what you came up with?
Wow.

More sour grapes poutings from the NYT:

Mr. Murdoch’s newspaper The Sun spent years demonizing the European Union to its readers in Britain, where it helped lead the Brexit campaign that persuaded a slim majority of voters in a 2016 referendum to endorse pulling out of the bloc. Political havoc has reigned in Britain ever since.

[Steve Bannon & Uncle Snoopy Murdoch sold G.B. a spoilt bill of goods on that deal]

And in Australia, where his hold over the media is most extensive, Mr. Murdoch’s outlets pushed for the repeal of the country’s carbon tax and helped topple a series of prime ministers whose agenda he disliked, including Malcolm Turnbull last year.

At the center of this upheaval sits the Murdoch family, a clan whose dysfunction has both shaped and mirrored the global tumult of recent years."

Yeah. I got some Sour fucking Grapes too.
Ignore Sourpuss Rainy's rant -- lots more 'sour grapes poutings' here:

@15: You need to elevate your thinking to a higher level. All these examples are of the press influencing the electorate, that result in outcomes that we may not like. There's really nothing wrong with that.

So instead of pouting, the answer is to respond with a better message. Which a lot of the press does already.

So all is well.

17

"All these examples are of the press influencing the electorate, that result in outcomes that we may not like. There's really nothing wrong with that."

So, you're okay with basically ONE GUY making Policy for Australia and the U.S. and Great Britain?

You're correct -- I guess I HAVE been thinking too Small.

18

@9 agreed...

Also don’t forget it was just 2014 when Issaquah High had basketball players spewing racial slurs on social media about Garfield players - their rivals for State that year.

19

@17: There is no ONE GUY here. Just a LOUD VOICE in a healthy and diverse media.

20

The sign was extraordinarily stupid and the absolute most favorable interpretation possible is "so ignorant it's dangerous". I can't believe even 3 people willingly took part in this. Like, c'mon, if you like the kid you gotta stop him from ever showing that sign to anyone. That no one said "wait a minute" is incomprehensible to me.

That being said, fuck these walk out kids, they're losers. They don't have a bone in this fight, they're just desperate for attention.

21

"That being said, fuck these walk out kids, they're losers.
They don't have a bone in this fight, they're just desperate for attention."

I wonder if the same isn't being said about kids striking in support of their Biosphere.

That's okay. Kids* need to find Their Voice too.
It's fucking GOOD to see them take A Stand
(even if it's not necessarily a Pragmatic one
They'll Learn to pick their battles, soon enough).

*Who will soon Inherit this (singular fucking) Planet

"There is no ONE GUY here."
Right. Uncle Snoopy Murdoch's power over the Citizentry is a Myth.

And speaking of "Free Speech," and Oversize Influence, let us not forget the radical far far FAR right Kock Bros, LLC, who tossed in nearly a Billion Dollars in electing our current Clown-in-Chief.

"Just a LOUD VOICE in a healthy and diverse media."

Right.
And wholly Corporate-owned mass media is "Diverse"?

When Murdoch can -- and DOES -- exert an influence
VASTLY larger than one person, one vote, that IS A Problem.

I wonder if you mightn't sing a vastly different tune, Rainy, if I were the Scion of some Robber Baron/multi-Billionaire with time and a Fucking MOUNTAIN OF CA$H, in MY hot little hands, to buy which ever far far FAR Lefty I deem dependable on delivering my latest Wishlist.

(Pretty much the Progressive Dems' Platform,
so instead of Hurting the 'bottom' 50+ percent,
by giving Handouts to the Top One percenters,
it'd be handing out Bootstraps,
for those without them.)
