McConaughey committed and was occasionally fun to watch but other than the photography and Martin Lawrence's 5 minutes there's was nothing else to like about this move. Were Zack Effron and Jonah Hill asked to create characters the day of shooting?

Also, I'd give it 5 stars if Moondog had said "Where's Shanaynay?" in his McConotone when he meets up with Captian Wack.

So if you derive a great amount of entertainment value from it then why don't you give it a star? Saving those stars for no-entertainment value, high-status shit to enhance your prestige as a film critic?
I mean it just seems apparent you enjoyed it, are at least willing to acknowledge it might be 'important' in some larger context, yet you withhold a recommendation. It seems gutless to me.
