“strippers don't receive any formal workplace training in Washington state”

Great. Create a licensing system to keep out competition. Ten years from now it’ll all be 40 year olds with beer guts but state licenses spinning on poles.

Enjoy.

Strippers in Washington state already have to get licensed to work. They are required to have a business license and an adult entertainer license. This bill will just provide them with valuable information as part of the licensing process that is already in place. It won’t prevent anyone from getting a job.

This is good news! Congrats to all the women who worked to make this happen. An important step on the road to legitimizing all sex work.

@1 - Since you are unable to read, how do you post non-sequitur comments online? Do you hire someone to help you? Hopefully you pay them minimum wage, at least.

Most places have some sort of dancer/adult entertainer licensing. It's not specific to Seattle.

Long gone are the days of old Rick's and Sugars.
