Folks can easily drive, carpool, or ride share to experience Chairman Dow's soliloquy. It's not that far Rich.

Hey! It's all about Rich...

I thought these days the jail protesters were busy showing their support for two defendants charged with killing 2 and wounding 3 during a robbery in the Jungle:

"Let’s provide them with some encouragement by letting them know we are here with them. With the uncertainty of their future at hand, any support will help boost their morale. This can come in the form of presence at court, video or physical visits, letters, funds for commissary and phone, or just thoughts and prayers."

@3: February 2018 is "these days"?

@4 I think you've got the dates wrong. Spring of 2018 was when the jail protesters were trying to garner sympathy for their cause by delaying the morning commutes of folks coming in to downtown from South Seattle. The blog post I linked to above is from 2019.

Setting that aside, what was your point?

6

But i thought transit would solve all the problems?

What raindrop said.
Rich is exaggerating how remote and exotic the Preston Community Center is to make his point. It is barely a quarter mile off I-90 and right smack dab on a major commuter arterial.
It is a lovely stone historical building, perfectly suitable for the occasion.

Maybe it's OK for Dow Constantine's constituents to take turns yelling at him?

I'm pretty sure the residents of the exurbs have things to gripe about, too, so why shouldn't they get their crack at it?

10

Rich: "There must be underhandedness, subterfuge or conspiracy here....SOMEwhere!!"

11

“Fryer says Constantine's office will be "tweeting the speech in real-time, as well as showing it on Facebook Live, and KCTV, as well as sending out a media release with highlights and full text."”

Geez, what more do you want? Why is it so important to physically be present? It isn’t like he’s going to be taking questions.

Sounds like Constantine is no-platforming them.
