Seattle’s Newest Craft Beer Brand Is Coming for Rainier

It's extremely light, cheap, and in an 11-ounce glass bottle.

Maybe they're coming for Rainier — but any brewer choosing to put "Lite" in its product's name shouldn't be surprised when MillerCoors comes for them.

They’ll have to pry my Vitamin R out of my cold, dead, hands.

@3

I won't be terribly surprised if they do exactly that.

Dear.

I've been waiting.

I'm sure it tastes fine, but the branding absolutely sucks. Rainier is an iconic element of the PNW and I drink it for both the taste, and the sense of pride I feel for the area. "Seattle Lite" is just another reason for folks to bitch about the current state of Seattle. A 10 second search landed me on Loowit Lager. 'Loowit' is the indigenous name for Mt. St. Helens by the Klickitat Peoples.

I could seriously get on board with that ... 'Hey Gary, I'll take a Loowy'. Make an effort people.

Rainier never, ever cost $4 and had 1 oz missing

Good call @7 ... Rainier Long Necks for $2.50 at the Triangle (RIP) are where it's at!

@8 are where it was, you mean.
