Are you looking for something to do on Saturday? Interested in catching the sets of some great Pacific Northwestern bands while enjoying a beer in a dark room? Me too! And on Saturday night, Necking will be headlining at Victory Lounge, a perfect opportunity to end the warm summer evening listening to good music.

The Vancouver BC-based band is riding the high of latest album Cut Your Teeth, which dropped in early July, and is a riotous bunch of tracks. The post-punk quartet is gritty, loud, and unafraid to get confrontational. "Big Mouth" clocks in at 2:45, but packs a punch.

“Fuck me / Tell all your friends you’ve got me / Can’t make me come, so I made you leave / Way hotter in your memory.” Also they just released this music video for the song and it's....relatable. And kind of hot? I just texted this to my friend and she told me "This is a true 'men are trash' anthem." Please leave the fish you caught out of your Tinder pics, thanks!

Seattle hometown hero Emma Lee Toyoda will open with their vulnerable (but fun) brand of “sad soft punk.” Earlier this year, they released their latest EP i don't wanna play ur show and it rules. I don't even play shows, but when someone undervalues me and then asks me for a favor, I always sing the chorus of the title track in my head, "Oh no, I don't want to play your show:"

Necking and ELT will be joined by Seattle bands Rat Paws and Our Ex Parris. Show is at 8:30pm and tickets are $10 at the door. See you there.
