Americans should not want their credit card debt wiped clean. They love capitalism! They love being in debt! They don't want corporations to have to pay any taxes or have any accountability to this society! True patriots carry loads of debt and can barely pay the interest and work three jobs while ordering from Amazon every day and never taking a sick day or a vacation because they fucking LOVE their crushing credit card debt!!!!

@2 Yup,
and Obama was going to take our guns away- remember that?
So, of course, we bought More guns!
Because - guns!!

ICE raids facilities based either on labor union organizing or on lack of protection payments (bribes, mafia).

So it should be easy to figure out where next: Look for a large percentage increase in union membership.

@1: There are people who regret being in debt, who let their foolish spending get ahead of them, had unexpected large expenses, lost a job and used their credit card a lot, but no dear, nobody loves being in debt.

Tom Perez, DNC Accused of Trying to Stifle Climate Debate for 2020 Dems

"This [DNC] anti-climate debate resolution is unacceptable," said Inslee. "The world just experienced the hottest July on record; we need a full debate on this issue."

"Climate change is not a small marginal issue," Inslee added, "it is an all-encompassing issue that affects everything we care about as Democrats—our health, our economy, our national security, and more. We need a full debate of the candidates' positions on this issue."

@6: Perez is right. Think about it.
- An hour debate on a single issue is not going to garner great ratings. Especially something as depressing as global warming. That's a lot to put on the networks.
- The candidates don't want to allow themselves to get stuck in the minutia and weeds of trying to complete each other on the issue.
- The resulting video of candidates trying to trip each other over the issue will be great fodder for Trump re-election ads. It would scare away voters from the democrats if advocated policies seem too severe.
- First things first. Defeat Trump. Then address climate change.

@7 I'd vote for Trump if it would reduce global CO2 emissions to Kyoto Protocol levels.

The most important issue is most important.

9

It doesn't go away if we don't talk about it. Not talking about it is what got us where we are today. We need to be talking about it 24/7/365. As St. Greta says: "I want you to panic"!

10

@8 - Well I reckon anon would as well, but you can't always inflate the possible to the plausible - especially with Donald Trump. That's a mighty lame non sequitur.

11

@7 Wrong, Republican pollsters are scared of voter response to the GOP abysmal decades long policy response to climate change. GOP constituencies in the Midwest and South now know that Trump and party establishments are complete lunatics, at least on this issue, and cannot be counted on to do what needs to be done. Democrats would be irresponsible not to push their advantage by putting this issue at the center of their campaign, thereby making sure people understand that they'll address this most critical issue without further burdening the poor and the struggling middle class.

Climate change is very near the top of concern for most youth today, including Republican youth, it'd be stupid not to let them know they can affect their own future by going to vote for the Democratic nominee who explicitly told them what he was going to do to make sure they have a future they can look forward to living

12

@10 "Non-sequitur" is not how you spell "your argument went over my head."

13

Remember, you too can report employers for hiring illegal workers.

This works best if it's their corporate offices, and you name the execs when you file the complaint, by the way.

14

@11 -- Fundies just wanna Armageddon, ASAP, so why worry about a Planet so despoiled as to be uninhabitable to their progeny?

Let us hope The Youth vote this time.
There, they're their only hope.
