I think the Stranger needs to add a younger music critic. Dave is good and has interesting taste, but it seems to skew rather old. I know, I'm old too. Do young people today listen to Mudhoney? Or do only old Gen-Xers read the Stranger?

Well @1 considering I have no freaking clue who most of the bands are that the Stranger writes about (and I am Gen X and I am a Mudhoney fan and I worked in the music industry for 10 years, 1996-2007), I think there is plenty here written for the kids.

Writing about local Seattle bands, whoever they are (but especially if they are good and been around and are still good), is also something that should be encouraged, not discouraged.

Anyone who is pissed off that Dump Truck is in the WH should be listening to Digital Garbage, no matter how old they are. It's goddamn cathartic!

@1 Jasmyne Keimig, Leilani Polk, and Greg Scruggs also write about music for The Stranger; all are younger than I am. I write about musicians in their teens all the way up to musicians in their 80s. I'm not so focused on the age of the artists as I am on the quality of their music. Maybe pay closer attention?

I revere Mudhoney for who they are and the music they put out. Seattle is blessed to have such a great legendary well respected band. Keep Marching to the Fuzz! Thanks Dave
