Ms Graham - you have to show off that new swimsuit to your Sloggers before you go!

I can't remember anymore if Comey is a Good Boy or a Bad Boy, so I do not know how to take the news in regards to him at this stage.

I know he was Bad for telling the sanitized truth about Hillary Clinton, but he then he leaked stuff to harm Trump, so he was Good then. So I think he is still a Good Boy.

4

@3, He'll be fine and probably land a job with CNN or MSNBC. And you know those networks are fucking KNOCKING OUT OF THE BALLPARK!!!

5

Nothing about Lawrence O'Donnell getting the goods on Trump?
He reported Douche Bank released tax forms showing Trump payed nil taxes and had Russian oligarch co-signers on his loans.

I caught that sunrise, it was fantastic. Have a good trip Nat!

8

@5: Yes he did. He had to take it back:

Lawrence stunned Rachel Maddow as he said this as he began his show after hers.

9

Have a great vacation Nathalie!
You're escaping Seattle traffic for a week!

Considering what we know about methane leaks deregulating the industry now is simply criminal:

NASA Confirms Methane Spike Is Tied to Oil and Gas
https://unfccc.int/news/nasa-confirms-methane-spike-is-tied-to-oil-and-gas

"shale-gas production in North America over the past decade may have contributed more than half of all of the increased emissions from fossil fuels globally and approximately one-third of the total increased emissions from all sources globally over the past decade"
https://www.biogeosciences.net/16/3033/2019/

11

It is criminal. No, really. It really is.

12

David Koch’s investment in hospitals and cancer treatment was nothing but a business opportunity, predicting the growing market once the EPA is demolished.

13

While it seems clear Comey violated FBI policy, I haven't seen anything that would - or should - lead one to conclude such a violation could be considered unlawful, which presumably is why the DOJ has refused to charge him with a crime. It's also worth noting that Daniel Richaman, Comey's friend who actually provided copies of the memos to the New York Times, has not been prosecuted either.

But what I don't understand is why all this is suddenly "news", when it was reported in the NYT nearly a month ago.

14

@11 Prominent climate change deniers like the Koch, big oil and their helpers will eventually be accused of genocidal-level crimes

15

Just curious. Why are we seeing a Bellingham tsunami? Silly me, I thought we were in Seattle.

16

@3 Comey is and always was an asshole. There. Your question has been answered.

17

RE: Lost hikers found.

So they had enough food for five days, and they were lost for five days, but they apparently hadn't eaten in many days because they were out of food?

Article doesn't make sense. Did they eat everything they had on day one? Were they feeding animals?

18

Look, I know you think you're hungry, but you can actually survive for 30 days without food.

Water, on the other hand, it's more like 3 days.

Also, you're literally surrounded by food. Lots of food. You just don't realize it's food.

19

@15 Probably because Bellingham is one of the largest Washington cities that would see tsunami waves greater than 10ft according to the simulation, whereas Seattle would see only a few feet. All cities at the heads of u-shaped bays, especially narrow ones, would have bigger waves.than average due wave amplification by bottom topography

“Anti-hair-loss meds” my ass. The Fake News doesn’t want to panic the citizenry. As any idiot can see, werewolves are impregnating our women with their airborne semen particles.

21

@20:

Gives a whole new meaning to "twilight sleep".

22

Natalie, @15, @19 --RE: 9.0 CSZ Quake-- Yeah, Natalie, why didn't you post the WaDNR video of the ^full^ coast simulation including Seattle?.... Thanks to the Puget Sound's shape & our location within, Seattle would see HALF or less wave height.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5PJQW_6k6M
(same vid anon1256 posted above. but worth a second look.. ;>)

I wouldn't want to be on Harbor Island, or the Docks, or really even in SoDo... but Seattle's problem will be shaking, liquifaction, and landslides, not a tsunami.

(Unless there's a huge quake on the Seattle Fault, running underneath the stadiums and Mercer Island, in which case there may be a tsunami on Lake Washington. YMMV.)

23

@21 You're gonna have to remind everyone under 70 about the whole old meaning if you want the joke to work, there.

24

@22 SLOG AM isn't the place for following links, or "reporting." SLOG AM is where Seattle's middle-aged people can go to read a short summary of a local Zoomer's first Twitter binge of the day.

25

@23:

Why? Are all their Googling arms busted?
