I know The Root has the editorial standards of an underground zine, but it's really telling all these proto-journalists are so happy to report stories that they've done so little (read: 0) research on. Is it just me or has "Op-Ed" writer become the new definition of "journalist" and almost no one knows how to report anymore?

@3 I don't believe it's Biden or Trump, thanks. The only way Trump "wins" again is by pretty severe tampering with the election, I don't care what his base believes, you don't "win" with less than 38% of the people willing to vote planning on voting for you.

@4: Let's hope. But hoping for the best and preparing for the worse means we're probably in for a very tight binary choice election, and things could make it squeeze into a 50/50 tossup.

It may be punched up a bit as these types of stories tend to get over time but why on Earth could it not be true? Every decent-sized city had all sorts of kids and stories like that. Even in my neighborhood today I know gang kids with wackier nicknames than Corn Pop.
