Are they geo-fenced so you have to put the scooter in a scooter parking spot when returned or it keeps charging you money, or can they leave them blocking all the ADA-compliant sidewalks so that only people like me can get around, and our Mayor and her chauffeur crew?

If you're Joe McDermott you've really got only two communities directly governed by King County in your district, thus able to promote as public guinea pigs. And I take it that Vashon Islanders would rebel against an E-scooter program.

@1 There's only a handful of ADA-compliant sidewalks in White Center. Hell, most of White Center doesn't even have sidewalks.

All that being said, most of these scooters will inevitably end up broken and scattered in and around the White Center pond and the Myers Way homeless encampment.

McDermott should be spending his time trying to figure out why all these stupid roundabouts are being built in White Center now. They are designed so that Metro buses can't get around them, but they are nonetheless placed on bus lines anyway, which is stupid. They also seem to be increasing traffic accidents: White Center drivers can barely figure out a 4-way stop, so a roundabout seems to baffle many drivers.

Those aren't "ADA compliant" sidewalks, those are "stroller, bike and scooter enabled" sidewalks.
