Hi Rich! Nice column there... I wonder though if you guys could make these columns about the classical music scene in Seattle less about a gimmicky hook ("Oooo, look... the Symphony is doing something edgy and unexpected like the indie rock/REAL musicians do!"), and write more about the actual work that they're doing ("Go see one of America's great symphony orchestras -- conveniently located right here in our city! -- play an interesting program of amazing works by Mozart and Bach... then hear some "reimagined" Bach performed with (not ON) a typewriter!"). Writing it from that slant might actually help the organization drum up interest in the event, by making going to the symphony seem like a fun thing that average, regular folks do... rather than making it like going on a safari to see Oompa-Loompas in the wild.
