Thereâs a nostalgia that runs deep throughout the music of New Zealand-born singer-songwriter Tamaryn. Her style pulls heavily from the sounds of Cocteau Twins, â80s synth-pop, and dream pop. Listening, I feel like Iâm a beautiful model in the early â90s, living in Manhattan and going to parties in the meatpacking district (or whatever people did back then). The fuzzy dreaminess of Tamarynâs vision comes through on her fourth album Dreaming the Dark, which swings between grand goth-pop and darker shoegaze sounds.
For her Seattle date, Tamaryn will be joined by Kris Esfandiariâs project NGHTCRWLR and Bay Area-based âsolo dronescapistâ Foie Gras. Some media below.
God I'm ready to rage all night to this track:
And this Foie Gras cut? Me every single full moon.
