A couple things
1st: Eyman is a horses ass
2nd: He's a criminal chair thief.
3rd: Anyone investing $ in an Eyman initiative should know his history:
-6 of 23 (25%) Initiatives/Referendums were overturned
- 6 of 23 (25%) Failed to Qualify for a vote
- 3 of 23 Initiatives/referendums that Passed were actually implemented.
- 1 of 1 Chairs stolen resulted in a misdemeanor conviction

4th: Counterprotestors need to show up at the judges home who issued this ruling. A protest is being organized at the Judges residence for decision to block I-976, in Bothell on Saturday. 11/30. Here is location, timing info on FB page for "Protest Judge Ferguson's Injunction against I-976" https://www.facebook.com/events/2681618705239861/

With those Very low odds. (aka the "Eyman Touch of Death") its no wonder that the Billionaire policy wannabees shy away from him/look elsewhere

2

For now anyway. Eyman will appeal.

3

@1: Posting a judge's home address for purposes of harrassment. Classy.

4

Radicals never respect justice.

"... the measure took on multiple subjects such as: refinancing existing transit bonds, revoking the taxing authority of transit agencies, and revoking a specific vehicle sales tax, which is legally separate from a licensing fee."

Hey, hold on a sec. Chairman Timmy -- I only voted on the thirty meazly bucks part -- so I still have three or four more votes coming.

Hmmmm. That seems kinda complicated.

Looks like he's gonna hafta give 'er another go!
They say, he's also running for Guv.
It's not because the he could pardon himself, I'm nearly certain...

8

Not content with pissing off one judge, Eyman's going for a second. What a clueless, contemptible turd.

PS Fuck off forever, Tim.

9

The Seattle/Puget Sound area needs to start witholding money that keeps many other parts of this state afloat. That may change a few minds on taxes.

10

@5
Thoughts and prayers. I mean, checks and balances.

12

Please change the headline to "Unemployed man wastes more taxpayer dollars in order to get paid"

13

@5: 'When you're told "Your Vote is Your Voice" remember these events'

It won't matter. Seattle voters have a long established track record of voting for what they want. And then having the city political machine go to work on them until what they want conforms to the wishes of that machine. And when it's all over, the voters think it was their idea in the first place. It's why we voted down Sound Transit, several times. Until the downtown elites convinced us that it was what we really wanted. Likewise, we voted for a monorail. Until the city big-shots whispered in our ears that we didn't want it and we should make it go away. Read 'Manufacturing Consent'. And then look at who stands to benefit from the proposed systems. And keep in mind the fact that the Seattle voter is weak minded enough to think that it was all their idea in the first place. Never mind the slight of hand that Sound Transit used to jack up their revenues. Which is what upset the rest of the state. We love Sound Transit. Even if he slaps us around. We have too much invested in the relationship.

14

@5 You are not respecting the will of the voter when you ask them to vote with a yes-or-no answer on a measure that involves multiple subjects with their own consequences, because it is impossible for the voter to choose. It is disrespectful to the voice of the voter precisely because it does not give the voter a fair chance to address individually each subject and its consequences.

15

@3 - Agreed that doxxing a Judge's home address is not classy. To clear up any confusion, That is not my FB Event, that FB link is the work of a group calling itself "Protest Judge Ferguson's Injunction against I-976" that I have nothing to do with. I am advocating for a counter-protest, simply using their organizing info.

16

I honestly want to know, HOW could Eyman have written this more simply so that it was "single subject"... $30 car tab for everyone all the time, is pretty fucking simple. I voted against it, he's a piece of shit. BUT THIS FUCKING SHIT IS HOW REPUBLICANS OPPRESS WOMENS ABORTION RIGHTS. RIGHT FUCKING HERE.
Same fucking shit.

17

Eyman's antics are a transparent attempt to shift blame for the "failure" of this initiative to the AG's office. This was designed to be unconstitutional so he could use the faux outrage over it being overturned as his platform to run for governor, or at least to fundraise to run for governor. Dig deep!

18

I'm really confused why the legality of a measure on the ballot isn't scrutinized from a legal perspective before it is put to the people. I'm too lazy too search so hopefully someone has the answer. Seems like a boom for lawyers.

19

17

Bingo. And make a few extra bucks in the process. He's a con man.

20

@18 There have been attempts to prevent initiatives from appearing on the ballot because they are clearly unconstitutional or have other problems but the courts have ruled that they have to wait until the initiative is passed before suing. Basically if you file the paperwork and collect the signatures it's on the ballot.

Of course there's nothing preventing Eyman from getting legal help drafting the initiatives in the first place.

21

Fuck you, Tim Eyesore and the mutt that bore you. You're a cheap, unscrupulous con man more suited for a dumpster than the Governor's mansion. Do Washington State a favor and leave. Take double-dipping Trumpty Dumpty whore and fossil fuel industry butt wipe, Thug Ericksen --R, Ferndale / Cambodia with you.

22

@5 How do you figure Ferguson is "not doing the Job of defending the initiative"? He filed an emergency appeal to defend it. I'm glad the state AG is defending the clear will of the voters in court, but based on this reporting the case against the initiative seems like a slam dunk. Honestly I'm a little freaked out by how zealously Ferguson is defending it.

24

@22 he doesn't want to have it on his record that he went against the will of the people of WA when he eventually runs for Governor. So he's defending it with gusto, even if he thinks the law is shit, and for any liberals who are concerned, he can just say that he's was doing his job.
