@5 you're making the assumption that government services have always been 100% funded the entire time. They have not been. They just keep deferring major work, like rebuilding I-5, for another decade. Which both increase day to day costs (potholes) and makes the final rework cost even higher. This is chronic across every service be it under staffing, out-dated equipment or wholesale rebuild projects. Which doesn't even cover bringing brand new projects on-line like LightRail.
Nothing like passing a bill that the chief sponsor says, āIs it adequate? No.ā about. Awesome idea!
Just donāt ask the Iowa Democrats to craft the bill for you. Theyāll only get it 62% of the way done, and a day late at that.
